Rapper-turned-movie maker ICE CUBE has been hit with a $100 million (GBP55.5 million) lawsuit by a man who claims the hit movie BARBERSHOP was his idea.
Film-maker JAMES DAVIS alleges breach of contract and copyright infringement in his suit against Cube, real name O'SHEA JACKSON, and movie studio bosses at MGM.
Davis claims the entire plot and premise of the runaway 2002 hit comedy was lifted from a script he wrote, called THE SHOP, years ago, which was based on his experience working in a barbershop in Atlanta, Georgia.
