THE PRETENDERS star CHRISSIE HYNDE has shocked fans by branding her BRASS IN POCKET hit "rubbish".
The 80s singer was so embarrassed by the single, she refused to celebrate when it shot to the top of the UK singles charts in 1980.
She says, "It is good to have a number one because it gives your career some grounding. I just wish we'd got it with a better song. It was a bit rubbish."
