THE PRETENDERS singer CHRISSIE HYNDE was left red-faced after her love of karaoke embarrassed her in front of music legend SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY. The singer was rocking out with a party mic at the former BEATLE's daughter STELLA's wedding reception when she was asked to sing her hit tune BRASS IN POCKET. And she has been regretting the painful rendition ever since. She explains to London magazine Time Out, "(Karaoke) changed my life! When I first did it a few years ago, this guy took me to a karaoke bar in Antwerp and it was one of the greatest nights of my life. I sang AL GREEN and all the greats. I was rocking. "The great thing about karaoke is that absolutely nobody pays any attention to you at all, so you can just fly. They were Belgians, they didn't care! "But I also sang karaoke at Stella MCCartney's wedding - I don't mean to name-drop, but I am famous and important so I know these people. "Somehow I was urged to do a karaoke version of Brass In Pocket - my show-stopper, the song I avoid at all costs when I'm sober - in front of Sir Paul. I have a pretty grim memory of that."
