PUDDLE OF MUDD singer WES SCANTLIN's week is going from bad to worse, New Zealand beauty RACHEL HUNTER has confirmed she has split from the troubled rocker.

Hunter, who is still legally married to veteran singer ROD STEWART, confirmed in a public statement that she has ended their romance - which she dismisses as not "very serious".

A spokesperson for the model says, "Yes, she and Wes have split up. Their schedules were so busy that in the end it just fizzled out.

"It happened before Christmas (03) but it wasn't a very serious relationship anyway."

Scantlin was arrested by Ohio police and charged with drunken disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and misconduct involving a public transportation system on Sunday (22FEB04), after creating a fracas at a gig when he told the crowd he was "too f***ed up" to play.
