BOB HOSKINS - HOSKINS SAYS NO TO BATMAN

British actor BOB HOSKINS will not play THE PENGUIN in the next BATMAN movie.

The 63-year-old, best known for his role as EDDIE VALIANT in WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?, was leading front-runner among superhero fans to play the Caped Crusader's evil adversary in the sequel to BATMAN BEGINS.

But he says, "No, I'm not doing it."

The Penguin was played by DANNY DeVITO in the 1992 film BATMAN RETURNS.
