VELVET REVOLVER star SCOTT WEILAND has been slammed by rockers HOOBASTANK - who were horrified by the frontman's aloof behaviour when they supported the supergroup in April last year (05).

Singer DOUG ROBB admits Weiland's attitude inspired many of the songs he wrote for Hoobastank's new album because, in his eyes, the former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS star embodies negative rock star arrogance.

Robb recalls, "He didn't say 'Hi' until three weeks into the tour. I don't want to get into it, because, honestly, it's not even worth my time.

"There are people like that, and then there are normal people.

"Four of the five guys (in Velvet Revolver) were the coolest, most down-to-earth guys ever. But one guy in the band was just in his own world."
