HOLLY VALANCE refused to strip to promote her new album, because she feels stupid wearing skimpy clothes.

After bursting onto the scene last year (02) with debut single KISS KISS and a raunchy and revealing video, the Australian singer has vowed to cover up more - but she insists her newfound modesty isn't because she's self-conscious about her appearance.

Holly explains, "You won't see anything raunchy in the new album. The older I get, the more I think I don't want to wear a crop top.

"It's not that I'm ashamed of myself, I just feel like a bit of a d**k dressed like that;.

"It's not the fact that I want to be all coy and demure on people, it's more the fact that I've let a little more of the real me come through."
