HOLLOWAY FEARED HE WOULD BE FIRED

Actor JOSH HOLLOWAY feared he would be fired from hit series LOST because his character on the show was so unlikeable.

The actor plays hunky castaway SAWYER and didn't expect his nasty character to last very long on the island.

He explains, "When I read the first script I was like 'Oh my God, I might as well not even unpack my bags'. He (Sawyer) is going to be hated.

The star decided to make the most of his storyline and accentuate any positive aspects of his character.

He adds, "They gave me just a tiny bit of humanity and I blew it up as much as I could.

"I was like 'Please be the guy you love to hate, not the guy you hate, because if you're the guy they hate - (you're going to get axed).'

"So I was trying my best to do that and fans responded."
