PARIS HILTON - HILTON CALLS IN TOP DIRECTOR FOR FIRST VIDEO

Socialite PARIS HILTON has been given a boost as she embarks on a much-anticipated pop career - she has snagged top director CHRIS APPLEBAUM to take charge of her first video. Applebaum, the man behind hit videos like RIHANNA's SOS and STACY'S MOM by FOUNTAINS OF WAYNE, became Hilton's favourite promo director when he shot her controversial TV ad for fast food chain Carl's Jr, in which a scantily-clad Paris lathered up while washing a car and eating a burger at the same time. And the odd couple aren't wasting any time - Hilton started shooting the video for STARS ARE BLIND on the beach in California earlier this week (24MAY06). The single will be released internationally next month (JUN06), while Hilton's debut album will be released this autumn (06).
