THE HILLS HAVE EYES - HILLS CLIMBS THE UK BOX OFFICE

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

Horror film THE HILLS HAVE EYES has knocked spoof comedy DATE MOVIE off the top of the UK box office charts. The remake of the 1977 WES CRAVEN movie, which stars LOST beauty EMILIE DE RAVIN, went straight to number one over the weekend (11-12MAR06), taking $1.8 million (GBP1.1 million) in ticket sales. While Date Movie slipped from one to two, gulf oil drama SYRIANA, which features GEORGE CLOONEY's Oscar-winning performance, moves from second place to third. Disney animation CHICKEN LITTLE stays at four, while JOHNNY CASH biopic WALK THE LINE climbs from seven to five, thanks to REESE WITHERSPOON's Academy Award win last week (05MAR06).
