PURPLE HAZE RECORDS - HENDRIX FIRM SUED BY PURPLE HAZE

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

Independent record label PURPLE HAZE RECORDS is taking legal action against the JIMI HENDRIX organisation EXPERIENCE HENDRIX LLC over rights to one of the late, great guitarist's 1966 concerts.

The British company, who released a CD of the gig in Britain last month (JAN04), is also suing a handful of lawyers.

Purple Haze Records claims it cleared all ownership issues before the album was released and alleges malicious interference with a third party contract.

The label has reported three lawyers from EVERSHEDS to Britain's Attorney General, while Experience Hendrix lawyer REED WASSON has been reported to the US Attorney General and the FBI, as has the company itself.
