THE DARKNESS frontman JUSTIN HAWKINS kicked bass player FRANKIE POULLAIN out of the band when he heard about the rocker's scheming plans to turn his brother against him.
Hawkins reveals he'd already grown tired of Poullain's efforts to find the group's financial accounting faulty and when the bassist started suggesting bandmate DAN HAWKINS should be looking out for himself, the singer decided enough was enough.
He says, "Because me and SUE (WHITEHOUSE - girlfriend) are together and Sue is the manager of the band, Frank was trying to plant seeds of doubt into Dan's mind as to whether she was misrepresenting us in my favour.
"It's a four-piece band and a manager on 20 per cent; we all make the same money regardless.
"My brother came to his senses, and that's that. It's over now."
Poullain plans to fight his dismissal but Hawkins insists, "He doesn't have a leg to stand on."
