DAVID HASSELHOFF - HASSELHOFF WANTS TO GET OVER BAYWATCH

KNIGHTRIDER star DAVID HASSELHOFF is happy to take cameo roles in movies because it stops him being constantly typecast as "that guy from BAYWATCH".

Hasselhoff dismisses the show as "fluffy", insisting he has so much more to offer as an actor - his latest cameo is in the movie version of hit cartoon SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS.

He tells British movie magazine EMPIRE, "I'm proving I'm not just that guy from Baywatch or Knightrider. Those are just characters I've created... get over it guys! Knightrider is about a talking car! Hello? Baywatch was just a fluffy show with hardly any scripts!"
