DAVID HASSELHOFF - HASSELHOFF SEEKS REHAB ORDER FOR WIFE

LATEST: DAVID HASSELHOFF has filed court papers urging the judge presiding over his divorce to place his estranged wife PAMELA BACH in rehabilitation for her alleged drug problem. The former BAYWATCH star, 53, and Bach, 42, split in January (06) after 16 years of marriage and two children, TAYLOR-ANN and HAYLEY. Last month (MAR06), Bach was granted a temporary restraining order against the actor/singer, after she claimed he had verbally abused and physically threatened her on several occasions. Hasselhoff denies the claims made against him and has fired back, accusing his ex of having a drug problem and "isn't of sound mind". After the estranged pair met in Los Angeles Superior Court last week (28MAR06), Hasselhoff filed papers yesterday (04APR06) requesting Bach complete a rehabilitation program and submit to random drug tests. Bach's lawyer GARY MITCHELL responds, "Pamela has no history of drug use and the allegations are completely false. The request is in reference to a recent surgery she had and a prescription for Vicodin, but she has not abused Vicodin and has actually taken less than the prescribed amount." Hasselhoff was ordered to "remove his personal effects from the family residence" by a judge last week.
