DAVID HASSELHOFF - HASSELHOFF: 'MOCKED SERIES MADE ME RICH'

Actor DAVID HASSELHOFF made so much money working on BAYWATCH, he never cared that the hit series was considered by so many as a joke.

The 52-year-old star insists the media's scathing take on the programme was meaningless to the actors - who were often featured running on the beach in scanty swimming costumes - as they were raking in millions of dollars from the show.

He says, "We mocked it more than anybody. We used to laugh at the coverage - Babewatch, Boobwatch, Gaywatch.

"We were like, 'Keep it coming, we're going to the beach and getting rich!'"
