Former BAYWATCH star DAVID HASSELHOFF has opted for the ultimate force in helping him through his current legal problems - GOD.
The actor, who has undergone treatment for alcoholism in the past, was arrested on 5 June (04) in Encino, California, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, and is expected in court on a rescheduled date of 28 October (04).
And Hasselhoff, currently starring as lawyer BILLY FLYNN in the London theatre production of CHICAGO, cites his heightened spirituality as having helped him through it all.
He says, "I've got to tell you, honest to God, prayer worked. I'm in a really great spiritual relationship right now.
"Every time I try to run the show, God just laughs. I'm learning to let go and let God do it, to trust and say, 'Where do you want me?' And I've ended up here doing a great musical on the West End - something I've always wanted to do. This is the kind of part I've trained for since I was seven years old."
