Harry Potter Star Faces Racial Hatred
Young HARRY POTTER star KATIE LEUNG has faced a barrage of abuse from jealous DANIEL RADCLIFFE fans since winning the role of his onscreen girlfriend in forthcoming film THE GOBLET OF FIRE.
The 18-year-old youngster, whose father was born in Hong Kong, has been the subject of internet site "Hate Katie" where her eastern looks are attacked as "ugly".
The actress, who was brought up in Scotland, says, "Looking different from most people at school never caused me any problems, so I never expected the hate that popped up on the internet after I got the part in the film. I couldn't understand why people were so angry.
"I'm very proud about how strong I've been over it, though, and it has actually motivated me to try even harder and become even more successful."

slythrin gurl  (1)20/09/2005 19:39 | watz wrong with every1 cant you just leave katie alone... wat has she done that is so wrong ..... nothing... at least she had the gutz to go 2 the auditions and luckly got the part she has got gutz if u are so jealous why didnt you go for the audition then... she will make a great actoress in the future... she didnt attend to get the part... just pure luck i do anything 2 be a actress .... so enough on the ramblin and jealous just leave her alone ... u people are going 2 far ... i'm with katie... go on katie show em wat u got good luck .... in harry potter hope u will contine with the next installment...... from ur fan... xxsamxxx |

If others out there want a job like her's why not go work hard like her and get it, instead of sitting on the side lines being petty and insulting. Besides, have you thought about the fact while you are insulting Katie you are also insulting J.K. Rowling as well? If you don't understand this then you need to read the books because it's all in there. |
