JOHN HANNAH - HANNAH WANTS SCOT FREE KIDS

Scottish actor JOHN HANNAH is determined to raise his children free of the sectarianism which blights his homeland.

The FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL star is expecting twins with his Glasgow-born wife JOANNE ROTH next year (04), and will raise them in his adopted home of London, so they're free of the religious division which can predominate in Scotland.

He explains, "All that stuff about Protestant Scottish, Catholic Scottish, what school did you go to, and what team to you support. I just don't want for that my kids.

"It's just another way of drawing lines between all of us. I'm Scottish, but I don't have to think about that in terms of my identity."
