GWYNETH PALTROW - GWYNETH'S OSCAR WIN DEPRESSION

Hollywood star GWYNETH PALTROW's 1999 Best Actress OSCAR win was marred by her split from BRAD PITT.

The actress, who scooped the coveted gong for her role in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, ended her engagement to Hollywood hunk Pitt two years before the ceremony and even dated actor BEN AFFLECK in the intervening period - but she still blames Brad for her gloomy mood on the night.

Paltrow, who is due to marry rocker boyfriend CHRIS MARTIN in the autumn (03), says, "People were telling me how thrilled I must be, but I could not feel positive about it. I ended up really depressed."
