GWYNETH PALTROW - GWYNETH: MY DAD WAS LOVE OF MY LIFE

Movie beauty GWYNETH PALTROW has snubbed new husband CHRIS MARTIN just a month after they married in secret - by describing her late father as 'the absolute love of her life'.

The OSCAR-winner - who is pregnant with the COLDPLAY singer's child - admits she is still devastated by BRUCE PALTROW's death in 2002 from complications of pneumonia and recurrence of throat cancer, and regularly breaks down in tears when she thinks about him.

She says, "I cried about my dad at the weekend. It comes in waves and it sometimes just kills me. It's the saddest thing in the world.

"He was the centre of my life. You know, if I hear a funny joke I still reach for the phone so I can tell him.

"The worst thing that could have happened to me has happened. The absolute love of my life has died.

"I've had to rely on myself in this way that, really, I didn't want to. I always had daddy there. I never knew I could suffer so much."
