GWYNETH PALTROW - GWYNETH: "I'M CLINICALLY DEPRESSED"

Troubled actress GWYNETH PALTROW fears she is clinically depressed as she tries to come to terms with the loss of her beloved father BRUCE.

The SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE beauty has struggled to cope ever since her father's death last year (OCT02) and admits that time has not healed the deep void inside her.

She says, "Some days I feel OK and then I go through maybe a three or four day period where I feel clinically, really depressed. But I just sort of keep on going. I don't know what else to do. And just try to face what I am feeling, as opposed to shutting down."

And Gwyneth - who is dating COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN - found that filming drama SYLVIA soon after the tragic incident made her empathise with the suicidal poet.

She adds, "I am still struggling with it a lot. I was so raw and so torn apart, and in such a horrible place, that my life and Sylvia's overlapped quite a bit. The feelings of suffering were there.

"It was deep grief and I was having a really tough time. I was going in every day and wringing myself out."
