LATEST: Movie beauty GWYNETH PALTROW married COLDPLAY lover CHRIS MARTIN at the same ranch where acting legends SIR LAURENCE OLIVIER and VIVIEN LEIGH wed.

The expectant couple reportedly tied the knot at the San Ysidro Ranch, which is located 80 miles (128 kilometres) south of Los Angeles, on Friday (05DEC03) - just hours after collecting a marriage licence from Santa Barbara officials.

The plush accommodation also played host to the romantic nuptials of the FIRE OVER ENGLAND legends in 1940 and was the honeymoon destination for PRESIDENT JOHN F KENNEDY and his wife JACKIE in 1953.

Meanwhile, representatives for the newlyweds - who will welcome their first child into the world next summer (04) - are refusing to confirm or deny the reports.

Coldplay's record company PARLOPHONE says, "Chris and Gwyneth are on holiday together for at least a week and are out of contact."
