GWYNETH PALTROW - GWYNETH HINTS AT RETIREMENT

Pregnant actress GWYNETH PALTROW has given her strongest hint yet she has retired from acting.

The OSCAR-winner - who married COLDPLAY rocker CHRIS MARTIN in December (03) - revealed plans to make fewer movies after the death of her father in October 2002.

But now she's expecting her first child with Martin, Paltrow - whose recent films have received little critical or commercial acclaim - has said she may quit completely.

She says, "Being pregnant is a good excuse to retire. On PROOF, the movie I've just done, and on SYLVIA, I was too exhausted to hang around and joke about."

She adds, "Hopefully, should I ever go back to work, there will be roles there for me. Honestly you don't know until you are in that position."
