GWYNETH PALTROW - GWYNETH ASKS CHRIS TO ROCK IN 2004

GWYNETH PALTROW has begged her rocker husband CHRIS MARTIN not to take 2004 off - because music means too much to him.

The COLDPLAY singer recently revealed he plans to rest the group for a year because he's convinced people will soon be "fed up" with the GRAMMY-winners.

But Gwyneth - who married Chris in secret last month (DEC03), and is expecting the couple's first child later this year (04) - is trying to convince him not to stop working.

A friend of the actress reveals, "Gwyn knows that she and their baby are really the reason he wants to take a break.

"Chris absolutely dotes on her, especially now she's pregnant. But she knows what his music means to him - it's his life.

"Gwyneth told him he shouldn't give it up even temporarily because there's plenty of time for them to be together now she's cut filming commitments."
