LATEST: Canadian funnyman TOM GREEN insists his death-dodging experiences in Central America have forced him to be more aware - even when crossing the road. The former husband of actress DREW BARRYMORE was surfing in the ocean in April (06), when he was nearly dragged to a watery grave by a huge undercurrent. Two days later Green decided fishing would be a calmer pursuit, only to find himself being hurled into a rock by a massive wave. He says, "It took me an hour to get back into shore, and I said, 'I'm never gonna be that risky with that ocean again. I'll just go fishing.' The next day I got nailed. "I have a tendency to leap into things, sometimes too hard. "I think that definitely made me more aware. I'm looking both ways across the street more often."
