GOOD CHARLOTTE - GOOD CHARLOTTE'S MADDEN IN MUSIC FOR MONEY

GOOD CHARLOTTE frontman JOEL MADDEN is only in rock'n'roll for the money.

The YOUNG AND THE HOPELESS singer formed the band with twin brother BENJI as a means to escape their poverty-stricken childhood in Maryland, America.

Madden, who is reportedly dating teen queen HILLARY DUFF, says, "We're working class guys who want to make it because we never had anything.

"There's lots of bands out there from nice places and they do music for art's sake.

"We do music because we wanted a better chance at things. Rock'n'roll was my way out, my way to a better life."
