Oscar-winning actress WHOOPI GOLDBERG is set to shock fans by playing a baddie in TV crime drama LAW + ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. The GHOST star, 50, will share the screen with CHRIS NOTH's character DETECTIVE MIKE LOGAN and S EPATHA MERKERSON's LIEUTENANT VAN BUREN, in a May (06) episode. Goldberg will play foster mother CHESLEY WATKINS, who turns to the dark side. FRED BERNER, executive producer of Law + Order, enthuses, "Whoopi never gets to be the bad guy. In the world of Criminal Intent she'll be the baddest."
