Hollywood beauty GWYNETH PALTROW enraged photographers covering New York charity bash MUSIC HAS POWER on Monday night (01DEC03) by refusing to properly pose for photos.

The SYLVIA star arrived at the city's Lincoln Center accompanied by COLDPLAY rocker beau CHRIS MARTIN and dressed in a vampy black dress, teamed with a black fake fur coat and heavy make-up.

But miserable Gwyneth would not play ball with the waiting media and left onlookers bemused by her odd behaviour.

One says, "She wouldn't stand still for long and she wouldn't smile. She didn't seem too pleased to be there and Martin arrived behind her.

"I can't understand why they wouldn't stand together for long."
