LATEST: MEL GIBSON has finally reached an agreement with US cinema chain REGAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP over a lawsuit filed by the BRAVEHEART star's company ICON DISTRIBUTION.

The Australian actor's company sued Regal over box office receipts for THE PASSION OF CHRIST, claiming it had not been paid its fair share of receipts.

Regal say the impact of the settlement will reduce its previously calculated net income for the fourth quarter and all of 2004 by $8.3 million (GBP4.4 million).
