RICKY GERVAIS - GERVAIS SNUBS CLOONEY

British comedy star RICKY GERVAIS has turned down the chance to appear in new GEORGE CLOONEY movie OCEAN'S TWELVE - so he could concentrate on his new UK TV series.

The genius behind multi-award-winning hit THE OFFICE was inundated with film offers after the spoof series won two GOLDEN GLOBE awards - but Gervais, currently penning new comedy EXTRAS, insists he's not tempted by the lure of Hollywood.

He says, "Why say a couple of lines opposite BRAD PITT when I could be playing lead back home?"
