British pop singer GEORGE MICHAEL abandoned his childhood dream of becoming a father when he realised he was gay.

The FAITH star has ruled out ever adopting and insists he and partner KENNY GOSS are happy to remain childless.

Michael says, "I wanted to be a father when I was younger, but since I realised I was gay I've never thought about it.

"I would never consider adopting a child."
