British pop star GEORGE MICHAEL has laughed off rumours of a WHAM! comeback tour, insisting his former bandmate ANDREW RIDGELEY would never agree to perform again.

The TOO FUNKY singer and Ridgeley split in 1986 and Michael went onto to launch a successful solo career.

Despite the recent reunions of fellow 80s bands, including DURAN DURAN and TEARS FOR FEARS, Michael insists Wham! won't be returning to the stage.

Michael says, "Oh please... there's nothing big planned on that just yet.

"Even if I wanted to do it, Andrew would never do it.

"I'm afraid I can't get into those small tennis shorts anymore."
