GEORGE CLOONEY has paid his respects to American TV icon JOHN RITTER after hearing of the actor's death this morning (12SEP03).
Clooney was being interviewed on America's TODAY show when he heard the news of Ritter's death from a heart attack and he stopped the chat to pay tribute to him.
He said, "I knew John Ritter a little and he just lit up a room. He's going to be missed."
