Movie hunk GEORGE CLOONEY is searching for a swanky London home - so he can win the heart of a British beauty.

The OCEAN'S 11 star is known to be a huge fan of British women and wants a permanent base in the capital to avoid the monotony of staying in hotel rooms.

And according to Britain's DAILY STAR newspaper, George, 42, has instructed estate agents to keep their eyes peeled for any potential pads.

An insider says, "George really loves the British sense of humour because it is so close to his own. He hopes to buy a pad so he can feel comfortable in London and have somewhere he can call his own.

"George really doesn't want to end up finding the girl of his dreams and taking her back to a souless hotel room."
