BOB GELDOF - GELDOF DELIGHTED AS BAND AID PROFITS DOUBLE

SIR BOB GELDOF is overjoyed after a generous business tycoon pledged to match pound for pound the proceeds from the BAND AID 20 single and DVD.

SPORTS DIVISION chain millionaire TOM HUNTER will donate an amount equal to what is raised from the sale of the DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? song and the LIVE AID DVD - which could end up totaling $10.8 million (GBP6 million).

Geldof says, "I'm not normally speechless but I was when Tom called. He's given us the best present he could.

"With this act the Band Aid 20 has surpassed the original Band Aid in terms of fundraising.

"There's a challenge. People have to go out and buy more copies, knowing this man will meet your money pound for pound."
