GLORIA GAYNOR, LIONEL RICHIE and HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH have signed up to perform at the WORLD PEACE MUSIC AWARDS in Vietnam next month (JUN04).

The ceremony and concert, supported by the UNITED NATIONS, is set for 22 June in Hanoi and will honour musicians who've contributed to world peace, including BOB DYLAN, JOAN BAEZ and COUNTRY JOE McDONALD.

The late Vietnamese composer, TRINH CONG SON, will also be honoured. His sister will accept an award on his behalf for his 1969 peace song LULLABY.

A total of 25 artists from around the world are expected to participate in the show, with proceeds will help victims of AGENT ORANGE, a chemical defoliant used during the Vietnam War.

The first World Peace Music Awards took place last year (03) in Bali, Indonesia.
