Former ALLY McBEAL star COURTNEY THORNE-SMITH was devastated by the breakup of JENNIFER GARNER and SCOTT FOLEY's marriage.

ALIAS beauty Garner and Foley called it quits on their romance earlier this year (03), much to the shock of fans - and pal Thorne-Smith.

She says, "I was just oddly upset when Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner broke up. I really was. It impacted me.

"It felt silly, but they were so sweet together."
