JAMES GANDOLFINI - GANDOLFINI INSPIRED BY TRAVOLTA

JAMES GANDOLFINI fulfilled a life-long ambition working with JOHN TRAVOLTA on GET SHORTY, as the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER star inspired him to be an actor.

The pair grew up near neighbours in New Jersey, and Gandolfini was captivated when Travolta landed the lead role in the 1977 disco classic.

The SOPRANOS star says, "John is actually responsible for the chaos that has become my life.

"So that's how it got started, this madness. I worked and I worked, and eventually I finally got to work with John on 'GET SHORTY' - and basically all he does is beat the c**p out of me in that film."
