OASIS singer LIAM GALLAGHER finds it difficult to appreciate the late JOHN LENNON's humanitarian efforts, despite the fact he has always loved the BEATLE's music.

Gallagher, who named his son LENNON in honour of the JEALOUS GUY hitmaker, has no time for campaigning rock stars and prefers to focus on Lennon's music instead.

He says, "I love Lennon's voice. My top tunes would be IMAGINE, and GIMME SOME TRUTH or I DON'T WANT TO BE A SOLDIER.

"Not for what he said or stood for, because half of what he said is what these other d**ks like CHRIS MARTIN are saying.

"Lennon's a bit right-on for me, to be honest. I don't want to f**king save the world, I want to live in my world. I do my bit. I'm not f**king going around blowing people up am I? I'm not trashing the gaff.

"That's the side of Lennon I don't get, but his records you can't touch."
