Singer NELLY FURTADO stunned a journalist quizzing her about her friendship with COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN - by losing her temper.

The LIKE A BIRD beauty - who gave birth to her daughter in September (03) - enjoyed a string of romantic dates with the CLOCKS singer before he went on to find happiness with new wife GWYNETH PALTROW.

So when the roving reporter asked if Nelly had remained in contact with Martin - who is now the proud father of baby APPLE - Nelly happily replied, "Yeah, we speak all the time."

But when the journalist inquired whether Nelly had been chatting to the OSCAR-winning actress about motherhood, Nelly snapped, "Yeah, you're really funny, you know that?"
