Veteran American comedian DICK GREGORY has begun a 40-day fast to show his support for troubled singer MICHAEL JACKSON.
Gregory, who is also a human rights activist, admits he's appalled at the way the pop superstar is being treated - and he's convinced Jackson is innocent of all child molestation charges hanging over him.
The comic says, "He shouldn't be judged until he goes to trial."
