STEPHEN FRY - FRY TO BECOME 'MOVIE MOGUL'

British actor STEPHEN FRY is reinventing himself as a movie mogul - following the lukewarm reception for his directorial debut BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS.

The GOSFORD PARK star - who regularly hosts the BAFTA awards - has teamed up with his film's producer GINA CARTER to form production company SPROUT.

And among the four projects already being lined up by Sprout is a plan to reunite Fry with long-term comedy partner HUGH LAURIE.

Gina says, "Stephen and I have gone into it 50/50. He and I will be producing together and he will also be starring in some films and writing or directing others."
