KEIRA KNIGHTLEY - FRESH FACE FOR PRIDE + PREJUDICE

JANE AUSTEN's classic novel PRIDE + PREJUDICE has been given a fresh face in more ways than one - actors on the new film version were banned from wearing make-up.

The movie, starring KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, tried to stay true to the period in which it is set with director JOE WRIGHT insisting characters look as natural as possible.

Bond girl ROSAMUND PIKE, who plays JANE BENNET, reveals, "We didn't have to spend ages in make-up as we didn't get to wear any - which was a bit sad, but good for the film.

"If you got very hot, they would powder you, but if the girls playing my sisters got a spot, they'd just leave it."
