Veteran actor MORGAN FREEMAN is set to receive the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Spencer Tracy Award for Lifetime Achievement in Cinema.

The SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION star - who received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in CLINT EASTWOOD's MILLION DOLLAR BABY last year (05) - will be honoured in a ceremony next month (MAR06).

Previous recipients of the Tracy Award include JAMES STEWART, TOM HANKS and SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS.
