GEORGE CLOONEY's new political television drama K STREET has spectacularly flopped, scoring disappointing ratings after its first airing in America.
The first episode of the series, a collaboration with STEVEN SODERBERGH, managed to attract just 7.7 million viewers when it aired on cable network HBO on 14 September (03) - half of the number who tuned into SEX AND THE CITY, which followed it.
HBO bosses are determined to let the show's 10 episodes air.
