Comedian/actor-turned-US chat show host CRAIG FERGUSON turned his back on making movies after a miserable experience working with JIM CARREY. The Scottish star played PERSON OF INDETERMINATE GENDER in LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, and admits he spent much of the shoot trying to beat boredom while strapped into a corset and ill-fitting clothes. And the funnyman made his feelings known to producer WALTER PARKES when the movie mogul asked him if he was enjoying himself. Ferguson recalls, "I'm standing there and I was waiting for Jim to do a scene, and that takes a while, and he (Parkes) says to me, 'Are you having a good time on the movie?' "Of course the political Hollywood thing to say is, 'Yeah, it's a great break for me.' I said, 'No, I hate it, I hate doing this.' "Movies like that move like molasses. (I said), 'This is the most boring thing I've ever done. It's like working in a bank in drag. In fact, it's not even that interesting. I hate that. I never want to make a movie like this ever again,' and he said, 'I think that can be arranged.'"
