COLIN FARRELL was so eager to attend the premiere of ANGELINA JOLIE's LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE he made an 80 mile (128 kilometre) dash just 90 minutes before the film began to be there.

The Irish womaniser made the last-minute decision to head down to Tinseltown for the gala at 6pm on 21 July (03) and quickly had movie studio PARAMOUNT called to make arrangements for him.

A source tells American magazine US WEEKLY, "He had the studio called and told he wanted to come and that he needed a car."

But the PHONE BOOTH star was 80 miles (128 kilometres) away from the venue in Ojai, California.

The source adds, "Paramount jumped through hoops to make Colin happy so he could make it on time."

Farrell has said of Jolie, "She's so f***ing intense!"
