COLIN FARRELL has shrugged off his happy-go-lucky, hard-living reputation, insisting he's really an insecure actor who's never satisfied with his work.
The PHONE BOOTH star has enjoyed a meteoric rise to the Hollywood A-List with his party-loving Irish persona seemingly unaffected - but Farrell insists his film work is of paramount importance to him, as he is driven by a obsessive desire for perfection.
Farrell, who is just about begin shooting OLIVER STONE's historical drama ALEXANDER, explains, "I don't appear insecure, but I probably have as many insecurities, doubts and worries.
"I've resigned myself to never being completely happy with my work. I come off the set some days wondering why I am doing this. I am hard on myself. I have all the insecurities of other actors."
