COLIN FARRELL - FARRELL WANTS NO FRILLS

Hollywood sensation COLIN FARRELL insisted film producers move him from the hotel he's staying in while shooting ALEXANDER - because it was too posh for him.

PHONE BOOTH star Farrell is currently in Morocco shooting the OLIVER STONE ALEXANDER THE GREAT epic. But after only an hour in the presidential suite of Marrakech's famously luxurious LA MAMOUNIA hotel, the Irish actor asked to be moved somewhere else.

Although the film's producers and A-list co-star ANGELINA JOLIE are staying in the hotel, Farrell has moved to the cheaper MERIDIANA hotel.

A source says, "He assures us he's much happier there.

"And we're sure his move has nothing to do with the fact that most of the film's crew who are staying there are Irish."
