Rocker MELISSA ETHERIDGE turned to pals STEVEN SPIELBERG and KATE CAPSHAW for fashion advice during her cancer struggle and they gave her the courage to attend the Grammy Awards bald. The singer/songwriter wowed fans with her look when she performed a JANIS JOPLIN tribute without hair at the 2005 Grammys - and she owes it all to Spielberg and his wife. She publicly thanked the couple when Capshaw presented Etheridge with her 2006 Courage Award in Hollywood last week (ends03MAR06). She told guests at the Regent Beverly Wilshire bash, "Kate and Steven came to visit me at the end of my chemo and, sitting on the couch all bald, I asked them an important fashion question 'Should I wear a scarf on the Grammys or not?' And they said no. "I went with that and it turned out pretty well.
